REMEMBERING 9/11 & ANTICIPATING RIGHTEOUSNESS IN AMERICA

Today, I find myself remembering, along with millions of others, what I experienced on 9-11-2001 when it actually happened.  I remember where I was and what I was doing just like it was yesterday.  Today the cold statistics bring tears and stun one’s ability to even begin to understand the extent of evil manifested that day.  In total, the 4 separate attacks by 19 radical Islamist terrorist perpetrators along with an untold number of supporters and nations claimed 2,977 innocent lives that Tuesday morning at the Twin Towers in New York City.  Many more people have now died from illnesses related to 9/11 than died during the attacks. An estimated 8,200 people have died from 9/11 related illnesses, primarily cancers and respiratory or digestive conditions.  An estimated 410,000 first responders, cleanup crews, residents, and office workers were exposed to over 400 tons of pulverized dust, asbestos, heavy metals, glass, and jet fuel combustion products. Official death tolls continue to rise each year as illnesses progress.  Then add to that the 189 deaths and the destruction at the US Pentagon in Washington, D.C. and the 40 deaths of the heroes who overtook the terrorists and subsequently died in the crash in a field outside of Shanksville, Pennsylvania.  This truly was another Day of Infamy.

And then I think, “What would Jesus desire of us in response to such egregious and heinous thinking and actions.  In the Book of Acts chapter 3 verse19, the Amplified Bible says: – “So repent (change your mind and purpose); turn around and return [to God], that your sins may be erased (blotted out, wiped clean), that times of refreshing (of reviving with fresh air) may come from the presence of the Lord; ”  We can never accept or forget what was done on that day, but God still lovingly calls these evil-doers to repentance and the nation to revival.  Those that believe in participating in such evil have a choice: come to God, or not.  God will judge.

Our posture as Christians is to hate and stand against evil while loving and trusting God to bring accountability and justice.  Currently, we see that the Jihadist, Progressive Liberalism and Communistic evil ideologies, and Anti-America and Antisemitism sentiment runs in the streets of our cities.  But remember that Acts 3:19 says that if one will return to God, “sins will be forgiven and times of refreshing (revival)” will come from the presence of the Lord.  The hope for a Christ-centered revival in the United States of America is spreading like a wildfire on our college campuses and in the hearts of Gen Z and Generation Alpha.  The youth are seeking God like never before.  Charlie Kirk, also martyred by hate one year ago, Sean Feucht, and others have opened the door for Christ-seeking and revival in our youth.  Because of conservative outlets and vocal Christian leaders, hundreds of thousands of American Patriots of the older generations are also beginning to awaken to the existent evil and the need for change.  The opportunity to enforce this awakening and revival is right in front of us—the midterms.  Let’s speak as one man and use our God-given and constitutional-given rights and cast your vote for righteousness in America.
